Today, I’m going to give you my 5 tips on how to have more energy and conquer the day! Hey, guys! Welcome back to my channel. And if you’re new here – welcome. I’m Coach Simona. I upload weekly videos on how to simplify your life and have great relationships with others. Alright, guys. Before we start, I want to make a quick disclaimer: I don’t have the same energy levels throughout the day as I have on my videos: that would be practically impossible. And today’s video won’t include any hacks, tricks or magic pills that will help you feel more energetic during today. But I’m going to give you five tips that will not only make you feel more energetic, but also a lot healthier in the long run. So, what are they? My first tip is to get enough sleep. I know, I know. This sounds pretty obvious. But how do you get a good night’s sleep exactly? First, you need to have a good bedtime routine. What does that mean? For example, if you want to wake up at 7 a.m. Start doing the things you want to do before bed at least two hours before actually going to bed. Stop using your phone right before going to bed. Stop checking on any emails or social media apps. What you can also do is read a book or a magazine or listen to some soft music.

Anything that will help you relax and feel ready to go to bed. What you should also avoid before going to bed is anything that contains caffeine, sugar, stimulants like alcohol, cigarettes, and anything that’s a source of a blue light: like TV, laptop, smartphone, etc. Each of these will stimulate your brain and excite your nervous system. And as a result, you’re going to fall asleep a lot harder. What about exercise? Isn’t that good for you? Well, it is, but not if you’re exercising right before going to bed. If you exercise or play sports right before going to bed, you’re going to put yourself in an excited state and it will be much harder for you to fall asleep. As you probably guessed it, my tip number two is to exercise during the day. One of the easiest ways to pump yourself and have more energy during the day is to exercise. You don’t have to do it every day, and you don’t have to go to the gym.

You can dance to your favorite music, you can do yoga, you can run in the park. You can choose whatever you want to do as long as you’re moving your body. I’ve just made a whole episode on how to find the motivation to workout even if you don’t feel like it so you can check that out if you’re interested. But why exercise, you ask? Well, exercise actually speeds up your metabolism. Your body releases chemicals called endorphins and that keeps you energized. Just stick to the rule of thumb: Don’t exercise at least three or four hours before going to bed. Now.. what else can you do to boost your energy? My next tip is to eat healthy food. Yeah. Yeah… That one is pretty obvious. That’s why I’m not going to focus on why you should eat healthy but how you can do it.

One of the best ways to change your eating habits is to substitute your unhealthy meals with healthier ones. For example, instead of eating that chocolate cake, why not go for a granola bar? And instead of ordering french fries to complement your meal, why not order a salad? Substitute unhealthy options with healthier ones, one at a time. I guarantee you’re going to feel lighter and happier when you switch to healthier meals. There’s a lot of information out there that will help you change your eating habits and today, I’m not going to go into any detail, but I will make a separate video on how to live healthier. So, what is the next step? Step number four is to drink more water.

I love water and I drink it all the time, but I know that some people find it a bit boring. So, let’s spice it up a bit. Try squeezing lemon into your water or add a few slices of cucumber if you want to make it more exotic. Make your own funny cocktail! Or make yourself a smoothie or a tea. You’ll still drink lots of fluids and it won’t feel like such a commitment. Or reward yourself every time you reach the minimum water intake for the day. Let’s say that you need to drink at least 2 liters of water per day. That’s approximately 8 eight-ounce glasses. So, for example if you’re a movie lover like me set the intention to reward yourself with your favorite show if you drink enough water during the day. Or light up some candles and enjoy your favorite music. Whatever makes you happy, do it! Step number 5 is to do something that you love. Whether we realize it or not the biggest energy booster is giving yourself the freedom to do the things that you love. And if you can’t find the time into your busy routine to focus on the things that actually light you up from the inside, then you should probably rethink your values.

So, what can you do to energize yourself? For me personally, there is nothing that I love more than singing. It’s amazing what a difference two hours of singing can make to my life. I feel so much happier, so much more energized and alive! For you it may be running, or skating, or dancing. Whatever that is: that special hobby of yours, find some time to enjoy it. Please, don’t put it off and find excuses to forget about it! Life is too short and if you don’t find time to do the things that you love, no wonder you will feel tired and unsatisfied. And my last tip is to relax and take it easy. If you get too caught up in your own mind thinking about all the problems at work or in your personal life, you will feel drained. So, the best way to get your energy back is to step back and pause for a second. We are all very busy, I know. But life is not work, life is not drama. Life is not supposed to be overanalyzed and rationalized.

It’s simply meant to be lived. So go out there and have a little fun! Life becomes so much better when you start treating it like a game. And death always wins, so why not have some fun while we are still here! Alright guys, that’s all for today! Thank you so much for watching this video!
