Crash diet is the most alluring of all diets. Almost every woman turns to crash diet once in a while. But that does not mean men are wiser. The mantra for this famous diet seems to be- “Don’t eat and stop accumulating extra calories”, in short starve yourself!! This aggravates loss of energy, fatigue, irritability and slows thought process affecting ability of work.

First of all when on a crash diet you need to keep reminding yourself that you are going to stick to it for a short period of time. Don’t get tempted by quick results and end up prolonging it. Even when on crash diet keep taking regular supplements of carbs and proteins. A glass of milk or fruit juice will replace some nutrients. But this restriction is better given than followed.

Instead drop the idea of crash diet and look to a brighter side where you can eat carbs and still not gain weight. Just be careful about the choice of carbs you consume. Including vegetables and whole grains with required carbs in adequate quantity in your meals will tone your body like nothing else.

Cutting down on sugars present in soda, candy, refined and processed foods will cut a lot of weight. Mind you the amount of your consumption matters the most for weight loss. Have a heavy breakfast and lunch and go easy on the dinner.
